SC 76ers vs Southern Queens-Red (8th Grade)

The SC 76ers jumped out to an early 7-0 lead and they never let up in this game! The 76ers early advantage continued and it quickly ballooned from there to a 21-0 lead after the midway point of the half. The 76ers stepped on the accelerator from the outset of this game, and asserted their control. They benefited from a balanced team attack spearheaded by their talented point guard, Trinity Jones. Jones was able to control the tempo of the game and put her teammates in the right positions to exploit their greater talent and physicality. 76ers’ post player, Janyia Wiliams was, at times, dominant in the post. Tamerah Wynn was also effective. As a result, the 76ers took a 26-2 lead into the half.

The 76ers maintained their hustle and stifling defensive pressure throughout the second half. The Southern Queens were unable to crack the code and make the game a competitive affair. It was difficult for the Southern Queens to get into their offense or get clean looks at the basket. At the same time, the 76ers displayed team depth and talent throughout their lineup. Delilah Soltys played well offensively in the second half and displayed her skill sets. It was a balanced and total team effort as the 76ers only allowed the Southern Queens to score one point (a free throw) in the second half. They were held to no field goals, and had only one field goal, by Teresa Kimball , for the game.

In a balanced, team effort...the 76ers squad won 40-3. Jones led them with 9pts, Soltys (7pts) and Wynn (5pts)
